Taking care of my skin is always at the top of my list. In order to achieve and maintain great looking skin, it doesn’t take a ton of work. What you need to do instead is get in the habit of a skin care routine that works for you. Eventually the routine will become second nature and your skin will constantly look its best. Summer is just around the corner and you won’t be able to hide under a ton of layers for much longer.
This has to be one of the most important things you can do. Exfoliating on a weekly basis will keep your skin glowing and feeling soft all the time. It gets rid of dead skin and even allows for a smoother shave. When it comes to transitioning your body to Spring this should be at the top of your list. It’s the perfect way of getting rid of flaky skin and letting your skin breath.
Applying moisturizer in the morning and before bed should be as common as brushing your teeth. Moisturizing revives the skin, keeps it soft and helps in the aging process. Extra points if the moisturizer you use contains SPF. (You can never protect the skin too much).
When it comes to shaving don’t rush! With the right tools and products you’ll get a smooth, clean shave that won’t take long at all. I always use a shaving cream. There’s nothing worse than shaving on bare skin, and using just soap will dry the skin out.
Wash your face every single night even if you didn’t wear makeup. Dirt and oils get underneath your skin throughout the day. By not washing your face you’re allowing breakouts to happen and for full skin to take over. I love using a refreshing cleanser at night and a toner as well.
Keep your hands moisturized just like your body, but also use a cuticle oil weekly, if not daily. I apply cuticle oil every day and on the edges of my nail and rub it into the cuticles. Your manicure will thank you.
